Tiger Lily of Bangkok in London (Volume 2) by Owen Jones is the second adventure story in a series that
features a complex character doing bad things in order to make the world a better place. Lily is back. She will
not allow child abusers to get away with their terrible crimes because of the abuse she suffered in her own
life. By day she is working to become a

doctor in London, but her secret alter ego creates her own murder weapons to use as
she fulfills her mission to rid the world of pedophiles. She discovers a group of young people bound
together in a type of gang with similar pasts as herself. Lily befriends the kids and eventually convinces
them to let her work with them to better themselves and create healthier lives. Meanwhile she wants to
discover who abused them...so she can exact her own kind of revenge.
Tiger Lily of Bangkok in London is a unique story because you are actually rooting for someone who is a
murderer. I think Jones does a fantastic job of making his heroine do things that are typically associated with
a villain, and yet I just loved Lily! Jones gave Lily such a terrible background and story that the reader can
relate to her motivation. I understood why she did what she did and even rooted for her to accomplish her
goals. It takes a talented writer to be able to make a reader go against what society has ingrained in them and
root for someone doing something heinous like murder.
